About Order of the Gold Road
The Order of the Gold Road has come to an end.

I want to clear up any confusion for those of you left behind. I experienced computer problems and a family crisis a few weeks ago, and informed an Officer that I would be briefly absent from the guild. My belief was that the Officers would be able to run the guild efficiently while I was gone, and that any problems would be resolved when I returned. Despite the rumors that were circulated, I never had any hostile intentions, nor did I "hold hostage" the guild or leave permanently.

When I returned after about two weeks, it was to an abandoned guild, an empty guild bank, and a former Officer contacting me informing me that the guild had been disbanded, reformed under a new name, and requesting that I should "stop holding the guild and its gold hostage". I'm not sure exactly what went on in those two weeks, but no efforts were made to contact me, and I never expressed any hostility towards the guild or its members. In fact I never made any contact at all with the guild, so I am shocked at the rumors that were created. I had hoped to return to the guild functioning as usual, make a joint decision on the new Guild Master and announce my retirement from World of Warcraft. I did not imagine I would log on to an abandoned guild and ridiculous accusations. For those of you left behind in the original Order, you have been removed from the guild, as the guild has been retired. I wish you luck in World of Warcraft, and I hope you can find a new guild that fits your needs. I didn't think it would end like this, and I apologize for how out of hand everything became, but at least we have good memories and hopefully some of you have made lasting friendships.
